This policy covers the Merci app on iOS and Android and lejeudelagratitude.com. It distinguishes the journal kept on your device, sharing you choose, purchases and support correspondence.

1. Publisher and contact

For processing carried out by the publisher, the controller is Louis Collin, a French sole trader under the micro-entrepreneur regime, trading as LC Developments. SIREN: 853 113 090; SIRET: 853 113 090 00023. Registered business address (domiciliation): 60 rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, France.

For privacy questions or requests: contact@leffetcoherence.com. Telephone: +33 6 06 95 09 88.

2. Your journal stays on your device

Merci does not require a Merci account and does not synchronise your journal with the publisher’s server. Gratitude entries, dates, any existing categories, milestones, statistics, personal record, first name and preferences are stored locally. Operational information, including use of the free daily allowance, helps keep the journal consistent.

This information supports the features you choose: writing, finding and editing entries, following your progress and personalising your space. The publisher does not receive a copy of your journal to provide these features. The integration examined does not send journal text or the locally stored first name to RevenueCat.

3. Local reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your device after you enable them and grant permission. You can turn them off in Merci or your device settings. Refusing notifications does not prevent use of the journal. Device notification permission is not consent to advertising tracking.

4. Shared cards and backups

Cards and backup files are sent to the device share sheet only at your request. You choose the application, service or recipient, whose own practices then apply. Merci does not automatically publish your journal on a social network.

A backup includes the journal, dates, progress, some allowance information and settings, including your first name. It is a readable file and Merci does not encrypt it. It does not contain Premium entitlements or your RevenueCat identity. Keep it in a private location.

Restoring a backup reads the file you select and offers the merge or replacement operations shown on screen. The copy made before the last import is a local safety copy and can be lost with the app’s data. General device backups depend on your Apple, Google or other backup settings.

5. Premium purchases and RevenueCat

For subscriptions offered in the app, Apple or Google handles the store purchase and RevenueCat validates it, recognises entitlements and restores Premium access. Purchase availability depends on the platform and distributed version. Having no Merci account does not mean these services process no purchase data.

Relevant information includes a technical identifier, purchase references and history, products, subscription dates and status, and technical information required for the service. RevenueCat also provides subscription information and statistics. The publisher can consult records needed to manage subscriptions. In-app purchases do not provide Merci or RevenueCat with your full payment card details.

Providing purchased access relies on performance of the contract. Preventing fraudulent purchases and limited subscription analysis rely on legitimate interests in securing and managing the service, subject to your rights. Apple and Google also apply their own privacy policies.

This operation does not include advertising tracking or transfers to an external marketing service. Journal text and the local first name are not sent to the purchase service. A technical identifier is nevertheless not a guarantee of absolute anonymity.

6. Website and support

The website presents Merci, download links and information pages. It has no website account, direct purchase, contact form, newsletter or advertising. Contact is by email.

The interactive demonstration uses predefined examples and a temporary counter within the page. It does not create a personal journal or send progression clicks to the publisher. The example file is loaded from the same website; that request can appear in hosting logs.

Netlify, Inc. hosts the website. Its infrastructure receives information needed to establish a connection and serve pages. Technical logs may contain an IP address, date, time, requested URL, browser information, request type and result. Operation, security and troubleshooting rely on legitimate interests in keeping the website accessible and secure.

Netlify Observability lets the publisher examine server requests to monitor operation. It is separate from a browser tracking script. The configuration retained for Merci does not include advertising tools, Netlify Web Analytics, Real User Monitoring or exports of logs to an external service. The website does not add cookies or persistent storage to track visitors. Links to Apple or Google lead to their services and privacy policies.

The contact@leffetcoherence.com mailbox uses Hostinger Email, Starter Business Email. When you contact us, we receive your email address, any name, your message and attachments you choose. They are used to handle the request: contract performance for subscription support, legitimate interests in answering other enquiries, or a legal obligation for requests required by law. A reply address and sufficient description are needed; other details are optional unless essential. You do not need to send your entire journal to request help.

7. Recipients and international transfers

Depending on the information, recipients are the publisher, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Apple or Google for purchases, Netlify for website hosting, Hostinger for email, and recipients you select when sharing. Hostinger also manages domains, which is separate from website hosting.

RevenueCat uses providers including AWS in the United States. Its standard terms incorporate its data processing agreement, including standard contractual clauses for relevant transfers to countries without an adequacy decision: https://www.revenuecat.com/dpa.

Netlify is established in the United States and uses a global delivery infrastructure. Its standard processing agreement, incorporated into its Self-Serve terms, covers hosted-site visitors and IP addresses. It provides for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for transfers it covers and standard contractual clauses in other specified cases: https://www.netlify.com/pdf/netlify-dpa.pdf. Its providers are described at https://www.netlify.com/trust-center/.

Hostinger’s standard processing agreement covers services including email and provides safeguards for relevant transfers, including standard contractual clauses in the cases it describes: https://www.hostinger.com/legal/dpa. Suppliers’ provider lists cover multiple products; they do not mean every provider receives every Merci user’s information.

You can request details about recipients and safeguards at contact@leffetcoherence.com.

8. Retention and deletion

The journal has no automatic expiry. You can delete entries and erase Merci’s local data from My space. Deleting an entry does not return a creation to that day’s allowance. Local erasure covers Merci data and preferences on that device; it does not delete externally saved copies, cancel subscriptions or erase providers’ purchase records.

  • Support email and attachments: kept while handling the request, then deleted at the first monthly review after twelve months from closure, no later than thirteen months after closure. Unnecessary attachments are deleted when the issue is resolved.
  • RevenueCat technical and subscription profiles: kept while Premium entitlements are valid or awaiting confirmation. Profiles with no activity and no Premium entitlement are deleted at the first monthly review after twelve months from the later of the last connection to RevenueCat or the end of the last Premium entitlement, no later than thirteen months after that date. For a free profile with no purchase, the period starts with its last connection to RevenueCat. Erasure requests can be handled sooner under GDPR conditions.
  • Website requests available in Netlify Observability: a rolling twenty-four-hour window for the selected plan, without log exports by the publisher. This describes information accessible in that tool, not every internal log retained by the provider.
  • Correspondence and limited evidence of privacy request handling: the support rule applies from closure of the request.

These rules apply from Merci’s launch. Reviews are manual and monthly. For an identified dispute or documented legal obligation, only necessary records are kept separately for the justified or legally required period. They are deleted at the first monthly review after that need ends. Complete profiles are not retained indefinitely for statistics.

Provider agreements also govern processing and deletion when the publisher’s service agreement ends. In particular, RevenueCat’s thirty-day period to request return or destruction after that agreement ends is not the retention period following a user’s Premium expiry.

Uninstalling, offloading an app and restoring a device backup do not necessarily have the same effects. Device backups depend on your settings and selected service. The publisher cannot remotely recover a journal it does not hold.

9. Your rights and teenage users

Depending on the processing and GDPR conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where used. Contact contact@leffetcoherence.com. We respond within one month; any lawful extension is explained during that first month. You may complain to the French authority at https://www.cnil.fr or your competent local authority.

For information held only on your device, use Merci’s controls. For a purchase, we may request only references needed to locate the relevant records. You do not need a Merci account to exercise your rights.

You may request erasure of a RevenueCat profile. This does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription or erase their own records. Continued app use or purchase restoration may recreate a technical profile to manage entitlements. The effects of your request are explained for your situation.

Merci is primarily intended for adults and teenagers; it is not designed as a service specifically aimed at young children. The capacity and parental permission rules of the user’s country and store apply to minors. Any legally required parental consent for optional processing is obtained beforehand.

10. Changes

This policy is updated when the service changes. Publishing an update does not by itself authorise processing that requires consent.
